Zed Books Ltd

Zed publishes cutting-edge books from an international perspective. All our publishing has the common goal of giving voice to people, places, issues and ideas at the margins.

The Lobster

Lobster was first published in 1983. It investigates state espionage, government conspiracies, the abuse of governmental power, and the influence of the intelligence and security agencies on contemporary history and politics.

The online network of freedom of information advocates

Cryptome welcomes documents for publication that are prohibited by governments worldwide, in particular material on freedom of expression, privacy, cryptology, dual-use technologies, national security, intelligence, and secret governance -- open, secret and classified documents -- but not limited to those. Documents are removed from this site only by order served directly by a US court having jurisdiction. No court order has ever been served; any order served will be published here -- or elsewhere if gagged by order. Bluffs will be published if comical but otherwise ignored.

Campaign Against Criminalising Communities

CAMPACC's aims and objectives are to oppose all laws based on a pretext of counter-terrorism, to campaign for the repeal of such laws: the Terrorism Act 2000, the Anti-Terrorism, Crime and Security Act (ACTSA) 2001, the Prevention of Terrorism Act 2005, and the Counter-Terrorism Act 2008, to oppose any measures which could criminalise mere association with a political organisation, or which involve detention without charge, or restrictions on freedom of speech, association or publication, to work in close association with affected communities and build the broadest possible alliance for civil liberties, human rights and universal values and much more.
